Every photo in this gallery was taken during our Molchanovs courses and fun dives: freedivers gliding along the line, exploring shipwrecks, reefs and caves, and meeting the marine life of the Mediterranean.

Many of these images come straight from our freediving courses in Malta — Discovery students on their very first line dives in Gozo, Wave 1 divers passing 20 m for the first time, and Wave 2 freedivers sinking into the freefall past their buoyancy point. Others are from guided fun dives in Malta, where certified freedivers explore the drop-offs, wrecks and caves that make Freediving Gozo famous.

The water here is part of the story. Freediving in Malta means 25–30 m visibility in season, warm Mediterranean water from May to October and a backdrop of sunbeams cutting through deep blue — conditions that make every session look as good as it feels. From the shallow lagoons where beginners learn to breathe, to the deep blue where advanced divers train, each photo captures a real moment from a real course or session.
